One in four Latino public school children in Georgia drop out prior to graduation. Los Niños Primero works to improve this outcome by preparing Latino preschoolers for the rigors of the classroom, setting them up for academic success. We also empower parents to skillfully assist their children throughout the educational journey.

Los Niños Primero school readiness program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, serving the Latino children of Sandy Springs.
Ninety-four cents of every dollar goes directly to our program costs.

Los Niños Primero has a great impact on the children. As an art teacher, I’ve noticed a great improvement in their fine motor skills, like using the scissors properly and cutting out shapes with more precision. I also notice improvement in their ability to pay attention in small group activities.
It is amazing to see how their English has improved. At the beginning of the year they were very quiet, but now they express their ideas enthusiastically. It is great to see the kids excited about learning!
